Nisha Narayanan, a prominent name in the radio industry, is currently the COO at 93.5 RED FM and Magic FM. An experienced leader with a proven track record of 23 years, she has been instrumental in scaling the business to new heights. Her vision to create multiple touchpoints for the brand and create more conversations with the RED FM listener base gave birth to multiple IPR s under the aegis of RED FM like the very successful RED LIVE, RED BANDSTAND, RED DIGITAL amongst others.  During her tenure, as Senior Vice President for Programming and Projects she also spearheaded setting up of radio stations across various cities in the country such as Bhubaneshwar, Jabalpur, Nasik, Shillong, Varanasi, Jaipur and many others making RED FM  one of the largest and widest network of radio stations. Her realm of knowledge encompasses areas such as programme planning, presenting, production and management. Narayanan has been a part of the core team of one of India’s biggest brand re-launch exercise i.e. S FM into Red FM. She managed this transition across the country to build the brand Red FM while keeping the core elements of the RED FM brand intact.

 

Narayanan began her career with AIR (All India Radio) and also as a journalist having been a Chevening Scholar in Broadcast Journalism. She has been a media consultant for several years and worked with Times FM, Radio City and Vaishnavi Corporate communications as well.

 

Narayanan is a member of the core committee of the FICCI Radio Forum, and she has trained on various European Union radio projects and in year 2000 Narayanan won the prestigious Don Rowland’s Prize for Excellence. As an opinion leader, she has authored several articles on radio policy and regulation and also writes regularly for mainstream media as well as specialist journals.
